This one day course will explain why the 4 C’s are so important. What to look for first. What we need to identify synthetic and treated diamonds and what instruments we use to identify the differences.
COURSE OUTLINE
- Includes lecture in morning and hands-on in afternoon
- Covers many diamond materials and the instruments used to identify them
- Covers the difference between natural, synthetic, imitation and treated diamonds
- Discusses why a diamond may come in many different colours
- Includes why the same diamond may look different when examined in different lights
- Discusses the importance of origin
